What is the Sino-Japan Youth Conference?
This conference was initiated in 2009 by a group of UWC high school student volunteers with a shared goal of “Overcoming the weak foundation of trust between Japan and Mainland China, which was once described as “close in trade but distant in diplomacy””.
The conference is now in its 18th year.
To ensure that the conference continues its philosophy, but incorporates the needs of modern society,We have set the following six objectives to be achieved

Providing an International UWC-like Atmosphere

Founder’s Words

Dr. Furukawa
What perspectives do students the same age as you living abroad have on international issues? If you have lived in your hometown all your life, there may not have been many opportunities to interact with students from different backgrounds and hear their ideas. You may often just accept information from newspapers, news reports and the internet as it is.
The Sino-Japan Youth Conference is a forum for high school students from Japan, Mainland China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong to listen to each other's ideas and think collaboratively. Sino-Japanese relations are facing very difficult challenges for all sides. Why not take a step forward into a place of international exchange and exploration that is usually hard to come by?
